My name is Neil Riddiford and I'm the driver development manager for newly formed race team bamboo-engineering. We are a pretty unique team made up of very experienced individuals that have all worked at world level motorsport. We have put in place this year a Formula Renault and BTCC operation based at Silverstone with a strong emphasis on young driver development.

I know sponsorship can always be the deciding factor but we are in a position to help drivers find sponsorship geared around our BTCC project. With almost zero commercial value to sponsors in grass roots formula, we can maximise sponsor exposure via our BTCC roadshow, plus the extensive TV coverage provided by ITV. This really opens the door to talk with high profile companies vital to driver funding and progression.

My objective is to run a 4 car BARC FR attack in 2010, with 4 very focused young drivers. We are a new team but very experienced and should be signing 2 American drivers very shortly from karting. We are located in a brand new race facility at Silverstone and boast a superb in house state of the art race simulator for our drivers. In addition I have excellent management contacts here at Silverstone to use all training facilities on site ie High speed skid car training and 1-2-1 on track coaching for example

For reference we also have Sebastien Bourdais Super League car in house here at Silverstone. It is of course a big bonus for the team being associated with people like this and adds to the bamboo driver profile.

I read that your driving ambition is to drive in BTCC, with that in mind we will be running 3 Chevrolets next year in BTCC, so I'm sure an involvement with us would help that dream progress.
